  • Hi mi hentes, I’m Dinah — the baker and creative behind DW Bakes + Design.

    My work is rooted in hospitality, creativity, and a lifelong passion for caring for others through food and design. What began in the kitchen at a young age has grown into a practice shaped by culinary training, artistic exploration, and hands-on experience creating thoughtful, elevated desserts for meaningful moments.

  • Creativity has always been a constant in my life. From early days spent baking and cooking to exploring crafts, nails, and event design, I’ve been drawn to creating experiences that feel intentional and personal. Formal culinary training and professional kitchen experience strengthened my foundation, while years of baking for family, friends, and special occasions refined my technique, flavor, and presentation.

    Creative work — including running my own nail business and designing tablescapes and event décor — further shaped my eye for balance, detail, and cohesion, all of which influence how I create today.

    Across every field I’ve worked in — from culinary spaces and creative services to dentistry and high-end hospitality — the defining thread has always been service. I bring a hospitality-forward mindset to my work, focusing on care, attentiveness, and the overall experience from start to finish.

    This approach guides how I bake, design, and serve, ensuring each order feels thoughtful, polished, and genuinely cared for.

    We also offer dairy-free and vegan options, allowing our desserts to be enjoyed by a wider range of clients without compromising creativity or care. Combined with a strong eye for design and a hospitality-driven approach, our work blends elevated baking with genuine service to create desserts and experiences that feel personal, polished, and meaningful.
